L1 Series "SERIES TRIP", "PUSH TO RESET" Single Pole circuit breakers represent our largest selling product family. Bases on a proven "SNAP ACTING" bimetallic thermal seneing elemant system. L 1 Series circuit breakers sease Overload conditions and interupt the flow of Current. The resettable actuator mechenism then remains disengaged until manually reset.

 

L1 Series offers amperage ratings from 3A to 60A, and is suitable for a diversity of applications, our products are carefully calibrated and tested to ensure reliable performance under a variety of operating assignments and conditions.

Working Principle of L1 Circuit Breaker 

 

An overload protector (circuit breaker) protects the compressor by sensing temperature and current. It is composed of a set of normally closed contacts and bimetallic elements. The overcurrent overload protector is mounted on the outside of the compressor, in direct contact with the compressor casing and in series with the compressor windings. If the compressor cannot be started for some reason, the overloaded locked-rotor current will cause the bimetal element to heat up and bend rapidly, causing the contact to quickly trip, cutting off the current flowing through the compressor, thereby protecting the compressor. Similarly, if the motor of the compressor is abnormally heated and the temperature of the windings of the compressor is too high, the protector will heat up and trip, thereby protecting the compressor. As long as the cause of the failure is not ruled out, the compressor will start and stop with the action of the bimetallic element over and over again in the case of overcurrent and overload.
