Underground Double Armored Direct Buried Fiber Optic Cable For Outdoor Use

 

Description

This cable design provides protection for single-mode or multi-mode fibers within a sturdy loose tube

made from high modulus plastic, bolstered by a water-resistant compound. In cables with higher fiber

counts, a steel wire, sometimes coated with polyethylene, serves as the central strength member. Th-

ese tubes and fillers are intricately arranged around this core, forming a tight circular cable core. A PSP

(Parallel Steel Tape) is applied lengthwise over this core, filled with a protective compound to resist wa-

ter ingress. Finally, the entire assembly is enveloped in a PE sheath, offering an additional layer of saf-

eguarding.
