1.Zinc Plated: Zinc plating involves applying a thin layer of zinc to the surface of the washer. They are not recommended for prolonged outdoor use or in highly corrosive environments.
2.Hot-Dip Galvanized (HDG): Hot-dip galvanizing is a process where the washer is completely immersed in a bath of molten zinc. This results in a thick and durable zinc coating that provides excellent corrosion resistance. HDG-coated washers are commonly used in outdoor applications, especially in construction, where they are exposed to harsh weather conditions, moisture, and corrosive elements. They offer superior protection against rust and have a longer lifespan compared to zinc-plated or plain finish washers.
When selecting between zinc-plated and HDG-coated DIN 6916 washers, consider the environmental conditions and the level of corrosion protection required.
