Conversely, when the power is cut off, the magnetic force disappears, causing the closing element to press against the valve seat due to the spring's action, leading to the valve's closure.

The third type, the step-by-step direct acting solenoid valve, combines both the pilot operated and direct acting solenoid valves' working principles. It uses electromagnetic force to open the valve under low or no pressure difference conditions. When the pressure difference occurs, it uses pressure to push the valve and ensures a controlled, precise movement that can be turned off during power outage.
