Disposable Hydrophobic Anti-Microbial Cannula Filter with Luer Locks

Hydrophobic filters are commonly used in air vent systems within medical devices to help manage the flow of gases and guarantee effective protection against airborne contamination, while retaining moisture and other fluids. 

 

The cannula filters we supply are one type of hydrophobic filters perfect for use in breathing systems. As a highly specialized medical filter device, the hydrophobic anti-microbial cannula filter operates by allowing sterile air to pass through in the circuit while strictly prohibiting the passage of micro-bials and other comtaminents. This ensures reliable safety for the patient undergoing the treatment and also the protection of the transducer in the pressure/snore cannula. The cannula filter from us comprises a 0.22 μm hydrophobic PTFE membrane and an exceptionally high-quality ABS housing. The hydrophobic filter membrane creates a barrier that prevents the passage of micro-bials and viruses through the system, allowing only sterile air to pass through, and plays a crucial role in maintaining the integrity and effectiveness of the medical device's treatment process.

 

These hydrophobic filters for cannula have standard luerlocks which can fit any cannula with luer lock connector. And they are compatible with most cannulas & pressure flow/snore sensors.  The cannula filters are single-use, they should be replaced if the membrane filter becomes wet, as the pressure reading may be affected, so it is essential to mount a new one to the monitoring line if this procedure has to be used.
