Juvederm Ultra4 Description
Juvéderm ULTRA4 contains biocompatible hyaluronic acid which is an injectable filler that provides instant results that are natural so no one will guess anything has even been done.
A highly cross-linked robust formulation for volumising and correction of deeper folds and wrinkles, including enhancing volume in the cheeks and chin. This formulation should not be delivered into the glabella (frown lines) or into the areas under the eyes. Juvederm Ultra 4, the thickest formulation, is recommended for volumising and correction of deep wrinkles and for facial contouring, including lip volume
What is Hyaluronic Acid?
Hyaluronic acid (HA) is a natural substance found inside the human body. It's key properties are to keep the skin hydrated whilst adding plumpness. HA naturally breaks down in the body during metabolism and is then replaced. However as we get older and our metabolism slows down, replacement of HA is less often which results in less hydrated skin and less volume in the skin.
Medical professionals have been using HA in arthritis treatment and during eye surgery.

What can Juvederm be used for?

If you are considering using Juvéderm™ ULTRA™ , then you must inform your Physician of any previous permanent products or body enhancing products you have used. You should also make them aware of any allergies, immune diseases and infections you have. Similarly if you have hypersensitivity to hyaluronic acid.
The treatment should not be used in conjunction with any skin treatments including laser or dear abrasion treatment.
Individuals seeking correction of frown lines should also not use this product.
What are the associated side effects with Juvéderm™ ULTRA™ ?
Common symptoms such as swelling, bruising and redness can occur at the site of gel injection. Resolution is usually within one week.

As with any hyaluronic acid treatment, the most common side effects were swelling, redness, pain, bruising, headache, tenderness, lump formation, itching at the injection site and impaired hand function. These events decreased in severity over time, and most were resolved after two weeks.
Do not touch water 24-48 hours after injection, and do not apply cosmetics on the injection site and surrounding area within 72 hours. Prohibit exposure to high-temperature environments (including saunas or high-energy treatments with laser photonic equipment) within one month.
Do not drink alcohol or eat irritating foods (such as peppers, seafood, etc.) within one week of injection, and avoid exposure to extreme sunlight and other rays.
A cold compress for 10-15 minutes after the injection can reduce possible local redness and shorten the recovery time.
The injection site should be kept still within 48 hours after injection, and frequent facial muscle movements should be avoided to keep the fillings evenly distributed at the injection site.
