The FAST Connector is a pre-polished connector which uses mechanical clamping and aligning of a cleaved fibre end which is inserted into the connector body. The FAST Connector now mostly is singlemode fiber 9/125um, multimode can do ,but not so much, connectors can be SC LC FC ST with different outer apperance and inner structure.

Drop Cable Fast Connector Features

  1. Each ferrule has been tested within 0.5dB of insertion loss, reach TELECOM standard;

  6. Each 100pcs will equip with 1pc length fixing device;
  7. Humanized structure design: preset limit point of drop cable at the boot, and automatically generate a small micro bend according to the correct cutting length of the product (see below figure). The micro bend indicates that the optical fiber has been in good contact with the embedded optical fiber, and the micro bend must exist, but not too large, otherwise the loss during the period will be affected.

Fast Connector Details:

the connector tail is screw nut,after screw off, the boot can be flip up, after the drop cable insert, then can quickly press it down to tighten the cable with screw nut.

The fast connector with high quality A class three-circle ceramic ferrule, which improves product stability, ensure long time low loss

and small change; ferrule can be UPC or APC.

 

The connector V groove is plastic, with pre-polished, pre-grinding embedded fiber inside, there is clear cable fixtion slot.

The fiber clamp devices are made of high-performance materials PEI, which can effectively prevent the aging of the original components, and the internal structure with anti loose structure can effectively prevent the occurrence of excessive fiber connection loss.

 

 

What is the difference of long and short type?

The long type is flat to lay the drop cable and the short type is vertical to lay the drop cable

HOW TO USE fast connector on site?

 

The operation is simple, insert the optical fiber to the limit point, automatically generate a small amount of bending, keep your radian, do not straighten, screw the nut first and then lock the switch.

 

Step 1: take out the boot and put it into the drop cable

Step 2: peel off the 5cm drop cable sheath with drop cable stripper

Step 3: scrape the coating outside the length fixer with Miller pliers

Step 4: wipe the fiber core with dust cloth

Step 5: cut the core with a cutter

Step 6: insert the fiber core into the fast connector to resist the embedded core

Step 7: use the boot on the drop cable to clamp the cable
