Basic Information:

 

Polarization maintaining couplers (PMC) combine or split the incoming light and maintain their polarization states at the output ports.

 

Two types of PM couplers are available, micro-optical sub-components based or PM fused fiber-based. The PM couplers have central wavelengths at 1310nm, 1550nm, or 1064nm. Their coupling ratios can be specified with high accuracy. Two configurations, 1x2 or 2x2, are available.
