50% To 70% Chromium Ferroalloy Products Ferrochrome / FeCr Granules As Steelmaking Additive
Ferro chrome (FeCr) is an ferro alloy of chromium and iron, containing 50% to 70% chromium. The ferro chrome is produced by electric arc melting of chromite, an iron magnesium chromium oxide and the most important chromium ore. It can divide into Charge FeCr, Carbon FeCr, Low carbon FeCr and Micro carbon FeCr.
Chromium is one of the important strategic materials. It has the characteristics of hardness, wear resistance, high temperature resistance and corrosion resistance.
Ferrochrome function
The composition of ferrochrome can vary depending on the desired properties and specific application. Typically, it contains around 50-70% chromium, with the remainder being iron and other elements. Different grades of ferrochrome exist, such as high-carbon ferrochrome and low-carbon ferrochrome, which are suited for specific purposes based on their carbon content.
Ferrochrome is primarily used in the production of stainless steel, where it serves as a key alloying element. By adding ferrochrome to steel, it enhances its strength, hardness, and resistance to corrosion. Stainless steel, in turn, finds widespread use in industries such as construction, automotive, manufacturing, and household appliances.

Applications
Stainless Steel Production: The primary use of ferrochrome is as an alloying element in the production of stainless steel. Stainless steel is widely used in various industries, including construction, automotive, aerospace, energy, and household appliances. Ferrochrome enhances the corrosion resistance, hardness, and strength of stainless steel, making it suitable for applications where durability and resistance to oxidation and corrosion are essential.
Refractories: Ferrochrome is utilized in the production of refractory materials, which are materials that can withstand high temperatures and harsh environments. Refractories are used in industries such as steelmaking, cement production, glass manufacturing, and non-ferrous metal processing. Ferrochrome helps improve the heat and wear resistance of refractories.
Packaging:Dark gray luster, 10-100mm granularity, polyethylene plastic bags, net weight of 1000KG per bag, gross weight of 1003KG per bag.
