As the name implies, hard chromium is just that - Hard. It is 68-70 Rc (Rockwell Scale) which makes it suitable for a variety of industrial applications that require resistance to wear. It is also the finest metal deposition to utilize when specifications call for smooth and flawless characteristics on the roll face.
The material of roller is 45# seamless pipe or alloy steel after being welded, stressed, tempered, quenched heat treatment, etc.

It can also be provided with a range of matte finish surface textures by grit blasting. Chrome is a good thermal and electrical conductor and is resistant to a variety of chemicals.
