Polyurethane Buffer
Both polyurethane buffer and hydraulic buffer are used in vertical
transportation systems such as elevators, but there are some
differences in their working principles, characteristics and
application scenarios. The following is a comparison between
polyurethane buffer and hydraulic buffer:
Working principle:
Polyurethane buffer: polyurethane buffer absorbs and disperses
impact energy through the elasticity of the material itself. When
impact occurs, polyurethane material is compressed and deformed,
which converts mechanical energy into heat energy and deformation
energy, and transfers the impact force to the whole buffer.
Hydraulic buffer: hydraulic buffer uses internal oil and piston to
realize energy absorption and impact mitigation. When impact
occurs, the oil generates resistance on the piston through
hydraulic damping, which absorbs and dissipates the impact force.
Features:
Polyurethane buffer: it has the characteristics of high elasticity,
abrasion resistance and good energy absorption effect. Small
volume, light weight, convenient installation and maintenance. It
is not affected by ambient temperature and humidity and has good
stability.
Hydraulic buffer: It has adjustable damping characteristics and can
adjust buffer force and motion speed as needed. Applicable to
high-load and high-speed scenarios. However, more complex
installation and maintenance are required.
Applicable scenarios:
Polyurethane buffer: suitable for elevator systems with small load,
low speed operation, compact space or limited shaft size.
Hydraulic buffer: it is suitable for elevator systems with high
speed operation, heavy load and long journey, such as high-rise
buildings or heavy industrial equipment.
Generally speaking, polyurethane buffer is commonly used in small
elevators or house hold elevators, with the characteristics of
small volume, simple installation and good energy absorption.
Hydraulic buffer is more suitable for large high-speed elevators or
high-load industrial elevators, with adjustable damping
characteristics. When selecting, the most suitable buffer type
should be determined according to the specific elevator
requirements and installation conditions.
Recording and maintenance: After the installation is completed,
record the relevant information of the buffer, including the
manufacturer, model, installation date, etc. Regularly check and
maintain the buffer to ensure its performance and safety.
