In order to further improve the resolution of the encoder, it is necessary to increase the density of the engraved lines on the code disc. However, the resolution of the square wave incremental encoder is limited by two aspects. On the one hand, it is limited by the size of the code wheel. On the other hand, the output frequency is proportional to the speed and resolution of the encoder. Higher resolution means higher output frequency, which cannot be transmitted over long distances.
