Design and CAD/CAM Preparation: The initial step is to design the valve body using computer-aided design (CAD) software. Once the design is complete, it can be imported into computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) software, which generates the toolpaths and instructions necessary for the CNC lathe.

Programming: Using the CAM software, the operator programs the CNC lathe by specifying the tooling, cutting parameters, and machining operations required to create the valve body. This includes commands for turning, drilling, threading, and any other necessary operations.

Machine Setup: The operator sets up the CNC lathe by installing the required cutting tools, securing the workpiece (the material from which the valve body will be machined), and making sure the machine is properly calibrated.

Loading the Program: The operator loads the machining program, generated in the previous step, into the CNC lathe's control unit. This program contains all the instructions for the machining operations.

Machining Process: The CNC lathe performs the machining operations automatically based on the loaded program. The operator monitors the process, making sure the machine is running smoothly and making any necessary adjustments if deviations from the desired specifications occur.

Inspection and Quality Control: Once the machining process is completed, the operator removes the valve body from the CNC lathe and inspects it for quality. This involves measuring the dimensions and checking for any defects or imperfections.

Finishing Operations: If required, additional finishing operations like deburring, polishing, or surface treatment may be performed to achieve the desired final appearance and functionality of the valve body.
