Precautions for BW 160 mud pump

1. After the sediment pump is fixed at the work site, check whether the main shaft of the prime mover and the main shaft of the pump are on the same axis, and make accurate adjustment if they are different.

2. The inlet and outlet water pipes of the pump shall be supported to prevent the pipeline gravity from being imposed on the pump body. The pipeline installation shall extend outward from the pump inlet and outlet flanges, and the support and positioning shall be done immediately.

3. When the sediment pump is working, high-pressure clean water must be injected into the packing chamber to protect the shaft seal assembly. Do not shut down the high-pressure clean water pump when the main pump is working normally. The clean water pressure should be greater than the working pressure of the sediment pump. The packing chamber assembly will wear quickly without high-pressure water protection.

4. The suction head in the pump performance table refers to the anti-cavitation characteristics of the pump under the condition of clean water at normal temperature. When pumping sediment, the inlet pressure of the pump should be positive as much as possible. When the sediment contains large solid particles, the flow head of the pump will also be affected, and the medium conditions should be considered during the selection.

5. When replacing vulnerable parts such as impeller and liner, the clearance between impeller and front and rear liner should be adjusted. The axial clearance between impeller and liner has a great impact on the performance and service life of the pump.

6. Please fill the bearing with lubricating grease in time.

7. In case of abnormal vibration, noise and excessive bearing temperature rise during the operation of the pump, stop the pump immediately for inspection.
