Introduction of APMGS mud gas separator

If there is a “KICK” situation, this vessel separates the mud and the gas by allowing it to flow over baffle plates. The gas then is forced to flow through a line and vent it to a flare. APMGS series poor boy degasser combined with the flare ignition device can be used to ensure drilling process smoothly.

Application of APMGS mud gas separator

Poor boy degasser will work with flare ignition device to burning the discharged gas 30 or longer distance away. The flare ignition device will connect with degasser with gas vent line, the flare ignition device is non return valve, ignitor, junction box and control panel with cable. Features of APMGS mud gas separator

1. Poor boy degasser will set beside shale shaker tank and connected with shaker distribution tank to allow treated mud goes into shale shaker for solids separation.

2. Mud comes out of chock manifold will goes into MGS directly for gas separation.

3. The footprint of a MGS is 2 meters by 2 meters with a stand to hold tank vessel. The stand design can be changed and supply to client as per request to allow degasser fold down on to a skid.

4. A flare ignition device can be selected to sit 30 meters away of degasser to burn the waste gas out of MGS.
