Based on the integration of Bauer, Soilmec, and IMT interlocking kelly bars, we studied one big (multi) interlocking kelly bar, which has been applied for patents. This kind of kelly bar has the following advantages:

The practice has shown that this big (multi) interlocking kelly bar has more advantage of the increased pressurized area, extended pressurized linear distance, uniform force distribution, and better drilling stability rather than the original interlocking type kelly bars. This type of kelly bar is more suitable for the construction of large-diameter and hard rock formations.
