Disposable Hasson Trocars are used in laparoscopic surgery and can be used as an entry point for other tools such as scissors, graspers, and staplers. A trocar is a surgical instrument that can be used to remove fluid from the abdominal cavity.
These blunt trocars are inserted into the abdominal cavity after a
small laparotomy for laparoscopic surgery. A blunt-tipped trocar
serves as a port for range travel. These trocars use Hasson
technology to provide secure fixation, an excellent seal, and an
atraumatic blunt obturator.

(2) The stainless steel needle replaces the original plastic,
making the trocar more reliable.
