Working Principle of DC Hair Dryer Motor


The principle of the DC hair dryer fan motor mainly includes the following parts:


Motor driven fan blade rotation: The main motor of the hair dryer is a DC motor, which can convert electrical energy into mechanical energy. When the motor starts, the magnetic field inside the motor rotor interacts with the magnetic field in the motor stator, forming a torque. This torque drives the rotor to rotate, thereby driving the blades to rotate. 


The hot end generates heat energy: The hot end of a hair dryer refers to the heat energy generated through electrical components. Most modern hair dryers use electric tungsten wire, also known as electric heating wire. Electric heating wire is an electronic device made of tungsten specifically designed to generate thermal energy. When the current passes through the electric heating wire, electrons continuously collide in the wire, converting their energy into heat and forming a high-temperature region. These high-temperature areas will directly output thermal energy, heating the airflow blown out by the hair dryer.


Air flow generation: The rotation of the blades drives the flow of surrounding air, causing the airflow to accelerate with the rotation of the blades, ultimately generating a strong airflow.


Cold and hot air switching control: Hair dryers usually have an independent temperature control system to switch between hot and cold air. When the user selects the cold air function, the electric fan will rotate without using an electric heater to blow out cold air. When the user selects the hot air function, the electric heater will heat the air, causing the airflow to heat up, and simultaneously rotate the fan blades to blow out the hot air.
