Indwelling needles are left in the back of the hand:
(1) Hands with indwelling needles should not be subjected to strenuous exercise, e.g., you can read a book and not play ball;

Disposable intravenous indwelling needles for intermittent, continuous or daily intravenous infusion therapy for clinical patients.
