1.General


1.1 LW8-40.5 Outdoor HV SF6 circuit breaker is an outdoor HV electrical equipment of three-phase, AC, 50Hz and it's suitable for control and protection of power transmission and distribution system, it also can be used to tie circuit breaker and break/make capacitor bank, and also can attach circuit breaker in it for measurement and protection.

1.2 LW8-40.5 Outdoor HV SF6 circuit breaker adopts CT14 spring operation mechanism.

1.3 The circuit breaker meets the requirements of national standard : GB1984-89 AC High-Voltage Circuit breakers, and IEC56 AC High-Voltage Circuit breakers.

1.4 Main features of the Circuit breaker


a. Good breaking performance, short-time arcing time,
long electrical duration and with the ability of continuous breaking of 16 times under the rated voltage without change of SF6.
b. Reliable insulation, to be up to 40.5Kv/10min at gas pressure of zero point of meter.
c. High mechanical reliability, High making ability, frequent operation is available.
d. Without return while closing and opening capacitor bank of 400A.
e. Cut off long line of 25.50km and has no re-burn.
f. Simple structure, small size, long free time is no need to overhaul.

1.5. Application environment

a. Altitude to be not more than 1000m
b. Ambient temperature: -30ºC - + 40ºC, the average value of 24H to be not more than 35ºC;
c. Relative humidity: the daily average value to be not more than 95%, monthly average value to be not more than 90%,
d. Speed of wind: not more than 35km/s
e. Contamination condition to be III grade, porcelain bushing creepage distance shall be 1050 mm (nominal creepage ratio to be not less than 25mm/kV);
f. The ambient air should be free of the flammable material, explosive danger, chemical corrosive and intensive shake.
