Carbon fiber has some very unique and valuable qualities. If used the right way, carbon fiber can reduce the weight and thickness of components. At the same time, it boosts stability and structural strength. Our high-gloss carbon fiber sheets are made of 100% genuine carbon fiber, using a 2x2 twill weave fabric.
Carbon fiber sheets are made with a high-strength plastic composite that’s both stiff and lightweight. They conduct heat and electricity and offer excellent machinability. They are commonly used in applications that require high strength-to-weight and high stiffness-to-weight applications in aerospace, military structures, robotics, and manufacturing fixtures and sports equipment.
RIGIDITY
This sheet is best suited for applications on flat surfaces or pipes due to the fact that it only bends in one direction. It can bend enough that it could wrap around a 4-inch diameter pipe, making it about 4 times more rigid than the 0.25mm sheet. It is not recommended on compound curves, convex or concave surfaces.
