What is the internal structure of ceramic antenna?

1. Input component

The radiation component is connected with the first side and the second end, and its outer edge part is also electrically connected, and extends to the second side of the ceramic antenna.

2. Carrier

The ceramic antenna is provided with a first side surface and a second side surface, and a first end and a second end connected with the first side surface and the second side surface; in addition, the carrier is provided with a through hole, so the edge of the hole on the first side surface is provided with a first metal pattern.

3. Radiation module

The ceramic antenna is attached on the first side of the carrier and has an outer edge part.

4. Grounding assembly

The outer edge part of the radiation module is electrically connected with the first side and the second end, and extends to the second side of the ceramic antenna.

5. Fixed needle

The fixing pin is penetrated in the hole of the carrier and electrically connected with the first metal pattern; after the fixing pin passes through the hole of the carrier, it passes through the part of the carrier; the fixing pin passes through the through hole of the circuit board and is fixedly connected with the circuit board.

The internal structure of ceramic antenna is composed of circuit board, carrier, radiation module, grounding module, input module and fixed pin, which has good stability and anti-interference performance.

Ceramic antenna is another kind of miniaturized antenna suitable for Bluetooth devices. The types of ceramic antenna are divided into block ceramic antenna and multilayer ceramic antenna. Block antenna uses high temperature to sinter the whole ceramic body at one time, and then prints the metal part of the antenna on the surface of the ceramic block.

The multilayer antenna is fired in the way of low temperature co firing. The multilayer ceramic is laminated and aligned, and then sintered at high temperature. Therefore, the metal conductor of the antenna can be printed on each layer of ceramic dielectric layer according to the design requirements. In this way, the antenna size can be effectively reduced, and the purpose of hiding the antenna can be achieved. Because the dielectric constant of ceramic is higher than that of PCB, ceramic antenna can reduce the size of antenna effectively

Ceramic antenna is made of ceramic and weighs only 200g. Its frequency range is between 902mhz and 928mhz. Moreover, the dielectric loss of ceramic is smaller than that of PCB, so it is very suitable for Bluetooth module with low power consumption. The effect of ceramic antenna is better than that of on-board antenna. Generally, it has ant access pin and anchor, so it is very convenient to use.

The ceramics of ceramic antenna are used in radio. In addition to capacitors, there is also a device called ceramic filter (because it is connected to the antenna circuit, many people mistakenly think it is an antenna). It is made of lead zirconate titanate ceramic material. The ceramic material is made into flakes, and both sides are coated with silver as electrodes. After DC high voltage polarization, it has piezoelectric effect. It plays the role of filtering and has the characteristics of stability and good anti-interference performance.

Ceramic antenna has four important parameters: gain, VSWR, noise figure and axial ratio. Especially the axis ratio, which is an important index to measure the difference of signal gain in different directions.

The working principle of ceramic antenna is to use GPS satellite to achieve navigation and positioning, and the main task of the user's receiver is to extract the pseudo-random noise code and data code in the satellite signal to further calculate the position, speed and time (PVT) and other navigation information of the receiver carrier. The principle of ceramic antenna is divided into two parts: one is the transmitting antenna, the other is the receiving antenna.

 

When high frequency current is applied to the conductor, electric field and magnetic field will be generated in the surrounding space. According to the spatial distribution characteristics of electromagnetic field, it can be divided into near region, middle region and far region. Let R be the distance between a point in space and the conductor, and the region of time is called the near region. The electromagnetic field in this region is closely related to the current and voltage in the conductor. In this region, the electromagnetic field can leave the conductor and propagate into space, and its change will lag behind the current and voltage on the conductor for a period of time. At this time, the electromagnetic wave propagated is no longer directly related to the current and voltage on the conductor, and the electromagnetic field in this region is called radiation field.

It must be pointed out that when the length L of the wire is much less than the wavelength λ, the radiation is very weak; when the length L of the wire is increased to be comparable with the wavelength, the current on the wire will increase greatly, so a strong radiation can be formed.
