The ASTM A350 LF2 is a forged carbon/low-alloy steel grade of
forged flanges, forged fittings, and forged valves that are
intended for low-temperature operation and must pass notch
durability inspection. The LF2 steels are divided into two classes:
Class 1 and Class 2.
Flanges made to ASTM A350 LF3 requirements can withstand
temperatures as low as 150 degrees Fahrenheit (LF3.) These ASTM
A350 LF3 Flanges are primarily used in high-energy/high-temperature
channeling applications. All ASTM A350 LF3 Flanges are available
with either a raised face or a flat face. At ambient temperature,
the working pressure for a B16.5 ASTM A350 LF3 Flange is
approximately 2.4 times the Flange Class.
