MS+PTFE self-lubricating sleeve bearings, reinforced with a steel backing, offer a robust and durable solution for a wide range of applications. The combination of MS (metal substrate) and PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) creates a bearing material that exhibits excellent wear resistance and friction-reducing properties.
The steel backing provides structural support and enhances the overall strength of the bearing, enabling it to handle high loads and withstand harsh operating conditions. The PTFE layer, on the other hand, acts as a lubricant, reducing friction and wear on the bearing surface, thereby extending its service life.
These self-lubricating sleeve bearings are ideal for use in applications where regular lubrication may be challenging or impractical. They require minimal maintenance and can operate smoothly even in dry or dusty environments.
Overall, MS+PTFE self-lubricating sleeve bearings with steel backing offer a reliable and cost-effective solution for industrial applications that demand high performance and durability.
Standard stock products
Self-lubricating dry sliding bearing
A steel-backed composite material comprised of:
Low carbon steel backing for extremely high load capacity-.50 – 2.7mm thick
Sintered bronze offers optimal heat dispersion –.20 - .35 mm thickness and
PTFE – lead sliding surface creates a low friction coefficient and allows for a wide temperature range – thickness .2 mm
Can be used where many liquid lubricants fail; also performs well with lubrication
PTFE lined self-lubricating bearing also called bushing, dry bushing, bearing, bushing,PTFE coated bearing,SF-1 oilless bearing,PTFE liner metal polymer composite bearing and PTFE based plain bearing. This type of bush takes PTFE layer as sliding layer which makes products can perform very well under dry condition or oil condition.
These materiais consist of metal backing bonded to a porous bronze sintered layer with PTFE based polymer bearing layer.The metal backing provides mechanical strength, while the bronze sinter layer provides a strong mechanical bonding between the backing and the bearing lining,the PTFE based polymer offers exceptional low friction even under dry condition.
Improved energy efficiency with the low friction performance of
PTFE-enriched overlay;
Extended service life with a high wear-resistant bronze layer;
Zero maintenance as self-lubricating bearings can operate dry
without grease;
Greater reliability than bimetallic bearings by avoiding potential
shaft/bearing seizure under boundary lubricated conditions and
frequent stop/start operation;
Compact, lightweight designs with thin-wall bearing construction;
Reduced noise with no metal-to-metal contact between the bearing
and the shaft;
Quick, simple assembly without expensive mounting tools.
