Flanged PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene) Impregnated Precision Bronze Bushings are precision-engineered components that combine the benefits of both PTFE and bronze to create a highly durable and wear-resistant bushing. These bushings feature a flanged design, which provides additional stability and support during operation.
The PTFE impregnation provides excellent lubricity and chemical resistance, reducing friction and wear between moving parts. This results in smoother operation, lower energy consumption, and longer bushing life. The bronze material offers high strength and durability, ensuring that the bushings can withstand heavy loads and frequent operation.
The precision manufacturing process ensures that these bushings meet strict tolerances and specifications, making them suitable for applications that require high precision and reliability. They are commonly used in industries such as automotive, aerospace, and precision machinery, where smooth and reliable operation is crucial.
The flanged design of these bushings provides additional stability and prevents rotation or movement during operation. This ensures that the bushings remain in place and function properly, even under extreme conditions.
Overall, Flanged PTFE Impregnated Precision Bronze Bushings offer a unique combination of lubricity, durability, and precision that makes them an excellent choice for demanding industrial applications.

PTFE bearings are ideal for applications with high loads and moderate speeds. The distinctive feature of these plain bearings is that they are maintenance-free. PTFE bearings are produced according to ISO 3547.
PTFE bearings are made with a steel or bronze backing as standard. A stainless steel backing is available on request. A sintered bronze layer is applied to the backing. This layer is provided with a PTFE-based self-lubricating lead-free sliding surface. The bronze intermediate layer ensures efficient heat dissipation and makes for a strong joint between the backing and the sliding surface. The steel backing has a layer of tin to prevent corrosion.
During a short run-in period, part of the run-in layer, the PTFE mixture, is transferred to the counter-material. During the run-in period of the PTFE bearing, the bearing surface usually takes on a gray/green color. The characteristic low friction and wear values are obtained at the end of the run-in period. Adding oil or other non-corrosive fluids can enhance the bearing's performance.
PTFE bearings are best suited to applications with high loads and requiring self-lubricating operation. Common applications are:
