Inconel 625 Overlay Superheater Coil Cladding Tube Wear / Heat / Corrosion Resistance

 

 

Cladding is a welding process in which a layer of wear-resistant, corrosion-resistant, heat-resistant metal layer is deposited on the surface or edge of the workpiece.

 

Cladding has significant economic benefits in improving the service life of parts, rationally using materials, improving product performance and reducing cost. Different workpiece and surfacing electrode must adopt different surfacing technology to obtain satisfactory surfacing effect.

 

Cladding is mainly divided into four categories:

 

1, to reduce the abrasive wear, corrosion, impact or cavitation on the surface of the welding parts and the use of the surfacing layer, wear-resistant surfacing.

 

2, in order to make the surface corrosion resistance, in carbon steel or alloy steel base material surfacing of a certain thickness of filled metal, known as cladding surfacing.

 

3, when welding different materials, or have special requirements, in order to ensure the quality and performance of the joint, to do isolation on the base material in advance, known as isolation layer surfacing.

 

4. The metal added on the surface of the weldment, the edge of the joint or in order to restore the required size of the component is called thickening surfacing.

 

Superheater Coil Description

 

Serpentine tube is a tube that twists and turns several times in a plane.The convection heating surface of the boiler, such as economizer, superheater and reheater, adopts the structure of serpentine tube through the belt, with horizontal and vertical layout.

 

The superheater, reheater and economizer of the boiler adopt serpentine tube heating surface. Due to a series of characteristics such as large number, different bending radius and many welded joints, the manufacturing process of serpentine heating surface is more complex and the productivity is lower. In recent years, in order to change this backward production appearance, China's major boiler plants have taken a series of measures in design and technology to improve the universality of product parts and components, creating necessary conditions for the mechanization, automation and organization of automatic production lines of serpentine pipe production. At present, China's major boiler plants have adopted automatic production lines with program control for the manufacture of coil heating surfaces.

 

Function
Superheater is to increase the temperature of the steam above its saturation point.
Reheater is basically a superheater that superheats steam exiting the high-pressure stage of a turbine. The reheated steam is then sent to the low-pressure stage of the turbine. By reheating steam between high-pressure and low-pressure turbine it is possible to increase the electrical efficiency of the power plant cycle beyond 40%.The reheat cycle is used in large power boilers since it is feasible economically only in larger power plants.

 

1. Material composition: It is made up of snake-like tubes (carbon steel, alloy steel or heat-resistant steel, etc.) and collection boxes and other supporting material. Tubes generally have 32, 38, 42 or other types of specifications, according to user's needs separately.
2. Arrangement: vertical or horizontal layout.
3. Features: beautiful appearance, size, accuracy, first-class bending and welding technology, first-class detection equipment.

 

Superheater
Fossil fuel power plants often have a superheater section in the steam generating furnace.The steam passes through drying equipment inside the steam drum on to the superheater, a set of tubes in the furnace. Here the steam picks up more energy from hot flue gases outside the tubing, and its temperature is now superheated above the saturation temperature.

Reheater
Power plant furnaces may have a reheater section containing tubes heated by hot flue gases outside the tubes. Exhaust steam from the high-pressure turbine is passed through these heated tubes to collect more energy before driving the intermediate and then low-pressure turbines.
