A biogas plant is a type of anaerobic digester that transforms farm wastes or energy crops into biogas. The process involves several types of micro-organisms and uses air-tight tanks to hold the material while digestion takes place.
Biogas or methane and carbon dioxide can be produced in larger quantities by adding other residuals made from the dairy, sugar or brewery industry. An experiment carried out showed this to be true. By mixing 90% wastewater from a beer factory and 10% cow whey, the production of biogas increased 2.5 times in comparison to using wastewater from the beer factory alone.
However, the manufacturing of biogas from agricultural crops such as maize has sparked the controversial idea of being environmentally unsustainable and harmful. This is because these plantations have a very dense, intense and soil eroding character.
Anaerobic Digestion is an important part in converting wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs) into water resource recovery facilities (WRRFs). What used to be known as “waste gas”, is now captured in the form of biogas and used as an energy source, with some facilities being able to generate enough to provide renewable natural gas (RNG) to the pipeline and/or to send electricity back to the grid.
Even though innovation in this area has allowed for improvements in efficiency, the primary configuration of anaerobic digesters has not changed dramatically since the early 1900s. They still operate on the fundamental principle of providing an oxygen-free, homogenous, and warm environment to the incoming microbial matter. This means that the tank needs to be COVERED, MIXED, and HEATED in order for the 15-20 day digestion process to be a success.
It is essential to properly select and install the right digester cover, mixer, and heating system, in order to reduce any risks of inefficiencies, process issues, and catastrophic failure.

One major factor is the amount of food and other materials wasted by humans. Every day, people discard food that results in the decay of the environment. Not only that, but billions of straws are disposed of into the environment, causing further pollution. Animals also contribute to environmental decline. Companies make a business of raising chickens, cattle, pigs, and other livestock for sale, creating an enormous amount of waste and emissions. The farms these animals are raised on, as well as the transport from these farms, have a detrimental effect on the environment. This contributes to air and water pollution, climate change and deforestation. It is necessary for everyone to be aware of the environmental effects of food waste, straw, and animal farms, in order to reduce its impact and protect the environment. This is an important step in making sure the environment remains healthy for all of us.
Anaerobic Digester Tank is a type of organic waste disposal tank used for municipal wastewater treatment. It is built with Q355B Q235B steel plate with a thickness of 0.5~2.0mm for anti-corrosion purposes. The process type is CSTR and the electrophoresis method is used for anti-corrosion. The minimum order quantity is 1 set and the price range is from USD1000~50000/set. The delivery time is 30-60 workdays with a supply ability of 10 sets/month. The packaging is normal package and payment terms are L/C, T/T. The product is certified by ISO9001:2015 and is of high quality from Shandong, China.
