Low voltage electric rail transfer carriage for large steel structure
The rail transfer carriage is conductor rail powered. This kind of steel rail transfer carriage is running on steel rails or steel squre bars.It is commonly applied in steel plant, aluminum factory, plastic pipes factory, etc to transfer rounded material, from producing line to store. The power supply of the rail transfer carriage can be customized, we can recommend client a suitable type according to their working site, It can be storage battery power, cable drum power, Busbar power, conductor rail power, towed cable power etc.

The transfer carriage is powered by the low voltage electricity from the railways. The power source AC 380V is transformed into AC 36V two-phase and are respectively connected to the two rails. Then the flat trolley’s wheels conduct the AC36V on rail into the electrical appliance box at the bottom of the carts. And then the AC 36V is transformed into DC 36V and then control the DC and adjust the speed and so on. KPDZ flat carts can be used both on the ‘S’ and arc-shaped railways.
Application of rail transfer carriage
The transfer carriage is applied to transfer steel plate in the steel mill factory. Due to large capacity, the transfer carriage is powered through 3 rails.
The rail transfer carriage is applied to transfer large steel structure, due the capacity is less than 50t, the carriage is powered through 2 rails.
The motorised rail transfer carriage is applied in metal industry factory to transfer large dimension steel plate, steel structure. The transport cart is remote control, it is convenient to operate.
They also can be used in the high-temperature environment. The hydraulic lifting device can be installed on the flat carts. The dc motor has the advantages of safety, flexibility, stable start, big starting torque, small impact to the gear reducer, low voltage, long lifetime and so on. But this series have strict requirement on the construction of the railways which need to be insulated. The rated load can not be more than 50T.
Production and details of the transfer carriage
The main parts of steel plant rail transfer carriage is cart frame, motor, reducer, cable drum, electric appliance, etc.
These kind of rail transfer carriage is applied to transfer heavy steel or aluminum coils. In order to inviod the steel coils falling down from the transfer cart, we designed a V-frame. It can protect the coils also the security. We can recommend you the direction of the V-frame according to the coils.
