WelandSignal's solar-powered Elevated Runway Guard Lights (ERGLs) give pilots a unique warning that they are approaching a runway holding position and approaching an active runway. ERGL features a high intensity LED light source powered by our industry leading Solar Engine Power Supply (SEPS). The ERGL can be installed in minutes without trenching, wiring or external power and can be repositioned just as quickly.

 

 

Ideal for airports that need improved safety measures but are experiencing grid access difficulties, the solar ERGL makes it easier to retrofit existing runways with this effective and preventative solution.

 

Runway warning lights provide 24-hour one-way marking at runway and taxiway intersections

  • Solar ERGL can be installed in minutes and can be repositioned just as quickly
  • Includes LED light, frangible post and tether
  • The flashing rate of the runway warning lights is controlled by the intelligent lighting control system module located in the SEPS; flashes alternately, 45-50 times per minute
  • Adjustable beam can be aimed vertically and horizontally - 0-20° vertical, ±20° horizontal
  • Significantly reduce maintenance costs and lamp replacement costs through long-lasting LED technology—average LED life of 56,000 hours under high-intensity conditions and over 100,000 hours under actual operating conditions
