The nasal throat swabs usually apply a sterile dacron or rayon swab
with a flexible, plastic shaft. The material from the
nasopharyngeal swab is dispersed into the liquid medium. Some
laboratories recommend removal and disposal of the swab, while
others suggest transporting the swab along with the medium.
Collect samples from the nose of throad with flocked swabs -Tilt
patient’s head back 70 degrees. -Insert swab into nostril. (Swab
should reach depth equal to distance from nostrils to outer opening
of the ear.) Leave swab in place for severalseconds to absorb
secretions. -Slowly remove swab while rotating it. (Swab both
nostrils with same swab.) Place the tip of collected nasal
pharyngeal swabs into a sterile nasal swab transport and provative
fluid vial for preservation)
Usually applied to PCR test kit or rapid test kit
According to different supporting products, swabs can be applied to
different scenarios. If it is used with the diluent, it is used for
rapid antigen detection, and with the virus preservation solution,
it is used for PCR detection.

Instruction
1. Remove the swabs from its package.
2. Ask the patient to open their mouth and vigorously rub the
inside of each cheek and over the gums of the test subject for 30
seconds.
3. Air dry the swab for 3 minutes.
4. Snap the swab at the break point to fit in tube and screw the
cap tightly.
5. Label with appropriate patient information.
6. Place specimen in the biohazard bag and seal bag.
