C046 Surface shaker for coarse-grained and giant-grained soil

The relative density of non-cohesive free drainage soil was determined. It is suitable for non-cohesive free-draining coarse and large-grained soils with a mass percentage of dry particles passing a 0.075mm standard sieve of not more than 15%. For giant grain soil with a maximum particle size greater than 60mm, due to the limitation of the maximum particle size allowed by the test cylinder, a series of model samples with reduced particle size can be prepared according to a similar grading method.
The compaction of the soil is expressed by the following ratios (1) and (2):
(1) The difference between the porosity ratio of the non-cohesive soil in the loosest state and the specified porosity ratio.
(2) The difference between the porosity of the soil in the loosest and densest state
