This kind of mold is generally called wire mold, which can be divided into circular mold and mold. The commonly used wire mold materials include diamond mold, cemented carbide mold, polycrystalline mold, etc.
 
A. Diamond mold: Diamond mold, also known as diamond, has the highest hardness and wear resistance, but the price is more expensive. In wire drawing, it is generally used to pull small-sized monofilament, such as Φ 0.40mm and below.
 
B. Cemented carbide die: in the drawing production, the tungsten steel die used in the past was replaced by cemented carbide die. Because the drawing die of cemented carbide die has better wear resistance, good polishing, low adhesion to the processed metal, low friction coefficient, high thermal conductivity and high corrosion resistance compared with the steel die.
 
C. Polycrystalline die: also known as artificial diamond, it is the most commonly used die wire die at present. It has wear resistance, but it also has the disadvantage that the surface of the product is not smooth.
 
D. Tungsten steel mold: at present, it is commonly used in aluminum drawing and has a short service life. It is generally used for bridge formwork. Tungsten steel mold has general wear resistance and low price. Its strength is not suitable for Copper drawing, and the surface of drawn wire core is not smooth.
