The shell of the electrical connector refers to the shell of the
plug and socket, the connecting nut and the rear appendage. The
function of the shell is to protect the insulator and the contact
body (the general name of the needle socket) and the internal parts
of the electrical connector are not damaged. The above positioning
keyway ensures the positioning of the plug and socket. The
connecting nut is used for connection and separation of the plug
seat. The rear appendage is used to protect the wire from the end
of the contact body and to be used for the fixed cable. The shell
also has a certain electromagnetic shielding effect. The shell is
usually made of aluminum alloy (machine adding, cold extrusion and
die-casting). Steel shell for glass sealing and high temperature
resistant electrical connector.
