Crown Type 8 Inch Fine Bubble Disc Air Diffuser with EPDM Membrane

 

Product Description                                                               

 

Microporous Crown type aerator and support tray have unique spherical cap structure. Structure and working principle: the spherical crown microporous aerator is mainly composed of aeration diaphragm, support tray, screw gland, threaded nozzle and other components. As long as the rubber diaphragm is sheathed on the support tray, screw gland can be used for tightening.

EPDM membrane is suitable for biological wastewater treatment and conventional industrial wastewater treatment.

The applicable temperature of silicone membrane is - 65 ℃ - 232 ℃, which is suitable for wastewater treatment in pulp and paper industry, petrochemical industry and oil refining process.

Maintenance                                                                            

 

1.  The operator should check the aeration condition of the aeration system frequently. If the head resistance of the aeration system increases or the bubble shape changes, the aerator needs to clean up the precipitates such as carbonate, iron salt, aluminum salt and biological sludge. The scaling on the rubber membrane of the aerator will reduce the air output, reduce the oxygen utilization law of the aeration system, and increase the head loss.

 

2.  Regular drainage cleaning is an ideal maintenance method, and the duration depends on the nature of the treated water, treatment process and other factors.

 

3.  During drainage cleaning and maintenance, do not let the precipitates on the surface of rubber film dry and agglomerate, and clean them immediately. The drying and caking of sediment will make cleaning difficult and affect the performance of aerator.

 

4.  Biological sludge can be removed by physical methods, and the surface of rubber membrane can be cleaned by brush or washed by high-pressure water gun. When cleaning with a high-pressure water gun, the nozzle of the water gun shall be kept about 500mm away from the surface of the rubber film to prevent damage to the rubber film.

 

5.  Carbonate and other scaling should be removed by chemical method. A certain amount of formic acid will enter the aeration system with air. The proportion of formic acid added depends on the scale degree. It is not necessary to empty the water in the aeration tank during cleaning. Generally, clean once or twice a year.

 

6.  When the microporous aerator is damaged or considered to be unable to meet the performance requirements after cleaning and maintenance, the rubber diaphragm can be replaced or the whole aerator can be replaced. The replacement method is the same as the installation method.


Possible problems and solutions                                         

 

a.  Large bubbles appear in a certain area of aeration tank

1.  Air distribution pipe leakage

Treatment method: drain the water in the problem area, check with small amount of air blast, determine the location of leakage and repair.

2.  Rubber film of aerator is damaged

Treatment method: drain the water in the problem area, use a small amount of air to check the aerator, determine the leaking aerator, and replace the rubber diaphragm or the whole aerator.

 

b.  Uneven bubbles

1.  Insufficient air

Handling method: check whether the blower operates normally.

2.  The valve on the air pipe is closed or not fully opened:

Treatment: check whether the valve is open.

3.  The installation of aeration system in the tank is not ideal:

Treatment method: empty the water in the problem area, check whether the horizontal error of the aeration distribution pipe is within ± 6mm; check whether the air pipe and interface are scaling and blocked, if any, use air blowing and high-pressure water gun to wash.

4.  Scaling on rubber diaphragm

Treatment method: check whether there is scaling on the rubber membrane, if any, clean the rubber membrane; replace the rubber membrane or the whole aerator.

 

c.  The dissolved oxygen in water decreases abnormally, and the head loss of aeration system increases

d.  The dissolved oxygen level in the whole aeration tank is inconsistent

1.  Insufficient air

Treatment: check whether the blower operates normally; check whether the valve on the air pipe is in the open state.
