What is Machine Vision?

The composition of system
A machine vision system consists of many related components. A typical industrial machine vision system has the following parts:

  1. Light source: It can be understood as the external light of the human world (sun, fluorescent lamps, candles)
  2. Lens (fixed focus lens, zoom lens, telecentric lens, microscope lens): the pupil is the aperture (the size is controlled by the expansion or contraction of the iris), and the cornea and lens are like lenses;
  3. Camera (including CCD camera and CMOS camera): retina
  4. Image processing unit (or image capture card): retinal nervous system
  5. Image processing software: brain
  6. Communication / input and output unit: limbs and five senses

Inspection principle
The visual inspection system refers to converting the captured target into an image signal through a CCD industrial camera, sending it to a dedicated image processing system, and converting it into a digital signal according to information such as pixel distribution and brightness; the image system performs various operations on these signals to extract.
