Application of visual inspection in food and beverage industry:

1. Inspection of the outer packaging of boxed/bagged food, testing the outer packaging of boxed/bagged food (including the detection of damage to the outer packaging, whether there is a label, whether there is a production date, etc.);

2. Detect the liquid level and foreign matter of transparent bottled beverages to ensure the consistency of beverage filling and ensure that there is no foreign matter in the bottled water;

3. Detect the bottle cap packaging, and remove defective products such as missing bottle caps and crooked bottle caps;

4. Test the quality of the pull tab, the production date, the serial number, etc. of the beverages and canned foods in the cans;

5. Outer packaging inspection of carton beverages: inspect the outer packaging of carton beverages, such as whether there are straws, whether the jacks are damaged, etc.;

6. Count the overall packaging of bottled and boxed beverages to ensure the number of packages.

 

Inspection principle

In the modern food automation production line, various inspections and measurements are involved, such as foreign body detection in mineral water, printing quality inspection of beverage bottle caps, barcode and character recognition on product packaging, etc. The common feature of such applications is continuous mass production and very high requirements for appearance quality. Usually this kind of highly repetitive work can only be done by manual visual inspection.   • Size measurement, including the outer diameter of the cover, the outer diameter of the anti-counterfeiting ring, the height of the cover, the inner diameter of the thread, and the outer diameter of the inner plug.
  • Detection of surface defects, such as viscose, burrs, gaps, deformation, black spots, flashing, chipping, chromatic aberration, oil stains, wrinkles, etc.
  • Printing quality inspection on the bottle cap. The production date, shelf life, barcode, QR code and other information will be printed on the bottle cap of some products. It is necessary to detect whether there is missing printing, missing printing, blurred printing, incomplete printing, skewed and other adverse situations.
