NEY161450 Auto Parts Air Conditioner Compressor For Mazda RX MX5
1.8 WXMZ003
The automobile air conditioning compressor is the core component of
the automobile air conditioning system and plays a key role in
driving the refrigeration cycle. It achieves rapid cooling of the
air in the car by compressing low-pressure cold gas into
high-pressure and high-temperature gas. A high-quality compressor
provides efficient refrigeration capacity, which can reduce the
temperature inside the car in a short time and provide a
comfortable driving experience. At the same time, it must have the
characteristics of low energy consumption, low noise and
reliability to ensure the long-term stable operation of the air
conditioning system. The performance of the automobile air
conditioning compressor directly affects the working effect of the
entire air conditioning system. Choosing a high-performance and
reliable compressor will bring a more comfortable driving
experience to the driver.

The role of compressor
The compressor is an essential component of the air conditioning
system in a vehicle. Its primary function is to circulate and
compress the refrigerant gas, which is responsible for cooling and
dehumidifying the air in the cabin. The process starts with the
compressor drawing in low-pressure refrigerant gas from the
evaporator and then compressing it into a high-pressure,
high-temperature gas. This compressed gas is then sent to the
condenser, where it releases heat and transforms into a
high-pressure liquid. After leaving the condenser, the pressurized
liquid refrigerant flows through the receiver drier or accumulator,
which removes any moisture or debris from the refrigerant. From
there, the refrigerant passes through the expansion valve or
orifice tube, which regulates the flow of the refrigerant into the
evaporator. Inside the evaporator, the high-pressure liquid
refrigerant rapidly expands and evaporates, absorbing heat from the
air passing over the evaporator's fins. This cools the air and
reduces its humidity. The cooled air is then blown into the cabin
through the vents, providing a comfortable and refreshing
environment for passengers. Overall, the compressor plays a crucial
role in the refrigeration cycle of the air conditioning system,
ensuring that the refrigerant is properly circulated, pressurized,
and transformed to achieve effective cooling inside the vehicle.
Compressor failure status
In the case of leaks, refrigerant can escape the system through
various points such as the shaft seal, hoses, O-rings, and gaskets.
These leaks can be difficult to identify and may require the use of
UV dye or electronic leak detectors. When refrigerant leaks, it not
only affects the compressor but can also damage other components in
the system. The refrigerant carries an oil mist that helps keep
everything lubricated, so insufficient refrigerant can disrupt the
air conditioning cycle and cause damage.
Odd noises coming from the compressor can be a result of internal
parts failing or seizing. This can lead to unpleasant sounds,
especially from the compressor clutch or belt pulley.
If the air conditioner is not producing cool air, it's likely due
to a lack of refrigerant or a failing component in the system.
Insufficient refrigerant prevents the compressor from circulating
enough refrigerant to maintain proper cooling.
If the check engine light on the dashboard is illuminated, it
indicates a more serious issue. The ECU (Engine Control Unit)
monitors voltage signals to various parts, including the
compressor. Malfunctioning signals can result in incorrect voltage
delivery, triggering the check engine light.
Please note that these are general explanations and specific
diagnoses or repairs should be carried out by a qualified
professional.
