SD5H149588 Air Conditioner Auto Compressor For Standard Various
Case WXUN135
The AC compressor is responsible for reducing the volume of the
refrigerant gas, compressing it in order to complete the
refrigerant cycle in the system. It can be thought of as the
component that does all the heavy lifting. In order to perform this
task, it requires energy, which it obtains from the engine through
a pulley and shaft.

Air Conditioning Compressor
The air conditioning compressor is generally driven by the engine
via a V-ribbed belt. It compresses or circulates the refrigerant in
the system. There are different types of air conditioning
compressors.
It is crucial to match the size of the compressor with the size of
the system.
To ensure proper lubrication, the compressor is filled with a
specific oil, which also circulates through the air conditioning
system along with the refrigerant.
Instructions For The Tnstallation Of AC Compressors
Before installing the new AC compressor, it is important to flush
the refrigerant
circuit to remove any contaminants and foreign bodies. Depending on
the level of contamination,
it is recommended to use refrigerants R134a or R1234yf, or a
special flushing solution.
However, it is not possible to flush air conditioning compressors,
filter-driers (accumulators),
and expansion or throttle valves. Since system contamination is
always assumed or
cannot be ruled out when the compressor is defective, the system
must be flushed when replacing these components.
It is crucial to ensure that there are no residues of the flushing
solution remaining in the system.
If necessary, the refrigerant circuit should be dried using
nitrogen.
Pay attention to signals
If your car's AC system is blowing moderate or hot air, it could be
due to several issues.
1.One possibility is that the compressor clutch is not engaging or
moving properly. This can be caused by a faulty compressor clutch,
wiring issues, or a malfunctioning clutch relay.
2.An unusual noise coming from the AC compressor can indicate
internal component failure or a loose or damaged pulley. If you
hear grinding, squealing, or rattling noises from the compressor,
it may need to be replaced or repaired.
3.A refrigerant leak can also lead to a lack of cold air. The
refrigerant is responsible for cooling the air, and if it is
leaking, the AC system won't be able to function properly. Signs of
a refrigerant leak can include low coolant levels, oily residue
around AC components, or hissing sounds coming from the AC system.
4.Excessive wearing on the auxiliary drive belt can impact the
performance of the AC compressor. If the belt is worn or damaged,
it may slip, causing the compressor to not function properly.
5.A smell of burning rubber can indicate that the auxiliary drive
belt is slipping or rubbing against other components. This can be
caused by a loose or worn belt, improper belt tension, or
misaligned pulleys.
If you encounter any of these issues with your car's AC system, it
is recommended to have it inspected and repaired by a qualified
mechanic.
