Doosan DX420 operation performance

1. Engine

The DX420 is equipped with a DE12TIS turbocharged engine rated at 245kw. In addition, DX420 in the original P mode and S mode based on the new E mode. Doosan E Mode uses unique technology to save fuel at low loads.

2.e-EPOS system

The new e-EPOS control system combined with CAN communication makes it easy to realize information sharing and make the hydraulic system and engine of the equipment run in the best condition.

3. Work efficiency

The DX420 uses a reducer integrated travel motor and rotary motor manufactured by Doosan Mottrol, which significantly improves mechanical efficiency and durability. The DX420 has a 28% increase in rotary torque and higher performance on slopes. DX420 has 17% better traction and better climbing ability

1. Boom and bucket rod

The DX420 large forearm adopts thickened steel plate, and large reinforcement bars are used in the roots and stress parts of the large forearm. Compared with DH420-7, the overall structure of DX420 has been greatly strengthened. The root of the arm is made of cast steel, which makes the life longer and the failure rate lower. Both ends of the forearm and the force part are strengthened.

2. Hydraulic cylinder

The hydraulic cylinder adopts the oil seal of new materials and the new heat treatment technology to significantly improve the hardness and strength of the cylinder, and the fatigue life of the cylinder reaches 9 times that of the traditional cylinder, so the cylinder leakage of DX420 is reduced and the life is improved.

3. Bucket

The welding points are reduced to minimize the cracking caused by stress concentration. High performance bushings, pins and new material gaskets are used at the joints of the arms and buckets to reduce the fit gap, reduce friction noise and ensure reliable work. The DX420 standard heavy duty bucket construction is significantly enhanced compared to the DH420LC-7 bucket, helping to extend life and reduce failure/rupture rates.
