Stronger Power Submersible Ultrasonic Transducer With Rigid Tube / Flexible Hose

Robust, powerful generators and transducers with a reputation for engineering excellence, superior performance and long life.AGSONIC generatorsOur robust and powerful generators are available with a choice of standard frequency, frequency sweep or bar frequency modes, offering a wide selection of cavitational intensities to suit different forms of cleaning.A key feature of the generators is our patented frequency sweep, which moves the cavitation bubbles up and down the item to be cleaned at the astonishing rate of one hundred times per second, ensuring that no area gets too much or too little cavitation. With their highly efficient energy transfer, the generators require no forced air cooling, which means that all of their energy goes directly into the transducers. The generators include versions that are totally sealed from harsh environments, either in the atmosphere or as a result of ‘dirty’ power supplies. This ensures uninterrupted performance, even with power spikes of up to 2500 volts. In addition, the standard AGSONIC generators feature ES environmental cooling. This system dispenses with fan assisted forms of cooling which suck in pollution from the outside atmosphere. As a result, there is considerably less risk of generator failure. Finally, each generator has its own, independent output indicator, making it easy to detect and isolate defective performance and to reduce machine down time.

Applications: Fabricated Metal Sub-assemblies, Injection Molded Plastic Parts, Larger Laboratory Glassware/Apparatus, Larger or Multiple Printed Circuit Boards

are used by a wide variety of professionals where cleanliness and safety are of paramount concern. Cleaning Systems and Solutions can be used to meet all your needs for a variety of cleaning applications and industries including Dental/Medical, Industrial, Firearm, Jewelry/Watch/Clock, Maintenance and SCBA/Rescue/Industrial Safety.

Our immersible transducer is custom designed for your particular application and tank size. It can be incorporated into existing tanks of any size and converted it into ultrasonic tank. It is controlled by our unique Pulse Swept Pleasecontact us for specific information on how we can create one for your Immersible Transducer needs.

The range of immersible transducers come in various sizes ultrasonic powers and operating frequencies. We can select the size you need based upon your cleaning requirements and tank size. The immersible ultrasonic transducer systems are portable and can be moved from one tank to another if required. They are most suited to when you have already a tank installed in your production process or we can supply the complete system including the tank.

Immersible ultrasonic transducers are designed for use in new or existing cleaning tanks to improve the speed and effectiveness of rinsing cleaning and other processes. Single or multi- module units can be custom designed for tanks of any size.

Product Description

Common Applications – Advantages of Immersible Ultrasonic Cleaning Transducers

  • Drop in ultrasonics addition to existing manufacturing cleaning process lines (aqueous cleaning lines, passivation, plating lines, or other part finishing processes which require from microscopic surface scrubbing agitation)
  • The stainless steel box heavy duty design with completely sealed components allow for precision ultrasonic cleaning in conditions normally too harsh for such precision electronics
  • Valve bodies and manifolds with small internals not accessible for cleaning by forced spray or mechanical removal
  • Medical device stainless steel parts cleaning
  • Aerospace parts cleaning
  • Ultrasonic part cleaning of water soluble machining coolants, chips, particulate, and true machining/cutting oils, buffing, polishing and lapping compounds which require mechanical surface scrubbing to remove.
  • General washing for maintenance, manufacturing, rework and/or remanufacturing.

Brief Introduction of the immersible ultrasonic transducers:
Immersible ultrasonic transducers are sealed stainless steel enclosures which allow for adding ultrasonics to parts cleaning new tanks or adding onto existing tanks, equipment and systems.
The number and placement of the submersible Transducer Pack

There are pros and cons to both entry routes. Many customers prefer to buy the riser-style transducer packs because they do not want to make a hole in the bottom of their tank. The main disadvantage to using risers is that they may interfere with the cover or other system parts that are installed on the top. Most AGSONIC submersibles are custom manufactured in order to maximize the effectiveness of the ultrasonic system and to minimize possible dead spots. We are the only manufacturer to offer this service at no additional charge. We also have a line of standard ultrasonic submersible systems available.

If you think your existing cleaning tank may be suitable to adapt to ultrasonic cleaning please contact our technicians at AGSONIC and we will be pleased to provide you with more information and a quotation for a custom-made submersible system.

Immersible ultrasonic transducers do not require attachment to the tank (other than to hold them in position) to function efficiently. As a result, transducers can be moved from tank to tank and positioned as required for special applications when needed. Various mounting options are shown below.

Immersible transducer Types:

Bottom Monunted -over Top Junction Box

Bottom Mounted with dual Bulkhead

Bottom Mounted With single Bulkhead

Bottom Mounted With Over The Top Pipe

Side Mounted With Over the Top Pipe

Side Mounted With Bulkhead Thru Side Wall

Mounting may be either wall or bottom mounted, depending on the application. The units are shipped fully assembled and require only simple insertion into the tank prior to operation.

Enhance the cleaning power of your existing tank with AGSONIC Submersible Ultrasonic Cleaning Systems

For customers who would like to improve the cleaning power of their existing tank by installing an ultrasonic cleaning device, AGSONIC's submersible system may be the most economical and efficient choice on the market.

However, before buying a submersible system, please consider the tank you already have and its material of construction.

Technical Specifications
Ultrasonic transducer elements sealed in a liquid-tight housing are an option to transducer elements permanently bonded to the side or bottom of a cleaning tank. The major benefits of immersible ultrasonic transducers are that they are easy to service and can be added to existing equipment, often without extensive tank modifications. Ultrasonics unique technology is offered in the immersible transducer format. This includes standard individual frequencies from 28 kHz to 120 kHz as well as multiple frequencies in a single or multiple units.

FAQ

How do I know if the unit is cavitating properly?

Most poor cleaning usually results from improper control of one or more process variable(s); such as choosing the wrong detergent solution, insufficient heat, or not allowing enough time for the particular soil to be removed. If you suspect that your ultrasonic cleaner is not cavitating properly, there are two simple tests you can perform: the "glass slide" test and the "foil" test.

How do I perform the glass slide test?

Wet the frosted portion of a glass slide with tap water and draw an "X" with a No. 2 pencil from corner to corner of the frosted area. Making sure that the tank is filled to the fill line, immerse the frosted end of the slide into fresh cleaning solution. Turn on the ultrasonics. The lead "X" will begin to be removed almost immediately, and all lead should be removed within ten seconds.

How do I perform the foil test?

Cut three small pieces of aluminum foil about 4" x 8" each. Fold each piece over a rod that you will use to suspend the foil in the tank. A clothes hanger works well. Your cleaner should be filled with an ultrasonic cleaning solution, degassed, and brought up to normal operating temperature. Suspend the first "square" in the center of the tank and the other two a couple of inches from each end of the tank. Make sure that the tank is filled to the fill line, and turn on the ultrasonics for about one minute. Remove the foil and inspect: All three pieces of aluminum foil should be perforated and wrinkled to about the same degree.
