Speak of industrial highbay lighting lamp , usually people will remind of metal halide highbay fixture and HPS high bay fixture , in past , both of them take a very large part in high power highbay lighting filed , however , both of them also have defects , details below :
Metal halide lamp ( MHL ) , 85LM/W , CRI 75 . lifespan 10000Hours ( Europe standard ) , 20000Hours ( USA standard ) , the lamp including mercury . it need 2 minutes to warm up before in normal condition . need to work with special ballast ,which also consume energy .
High pressure sodium lamp (HPS) , 80LM/W , CRI 70 , lifespan about 10000hours . including mercury , it need 10 minutes to warm up before normal lighting conditon . also need ballast .
