Shell and Tube Evaporator

 

The full-liquid shell-and-tube evaporator flows in the tube and the refrigerant evaporates outside the tube

 

tufts so that the heat transfer surface is substantially in contact with the liquid refrigerant. Generally, the

 

amount of refrigerant filled in the shell is about 55% to 65% of the effective volume of the cylinder. After

 

the refrigerant is vaporized and gasified, it is returned to the compressor by the liquid separator at the top

 

of the cylinder. The advantage is compact, easy operation and management, high heat transfer

 

coefficient.

 

The shortcomings are: ① refrigeration system evaporative temperature below 0 ℃, the tube water is easy

 

to freeze, destroy the evaporation tube; ② refrigerant charge; ③ by the height of the refrigerant column,

 

the bottom of the cylinder evaporation temperature is high, Will reduce the heat transfer temperature

 

difference; ④ evaporator cylinder will accumulate the bottom of the oil, there must be a reliable oil return

 

measures, or affect the safe operation of the system.

 

Dry type shell and tube type that is not full of liquid evaporator refrigerant flow in the tube, the water flow

 

outside the tube cluster. Refrigerant flow usually has several processes, due to the gradual gasification of

 

the refrigerant liquid, usually more upward, the more the number of process tubes. In order to increase

 

the water side of the heat transfer in the cylinder outside the heat transfer tube with a number of baffles,

 

so that the water several times across the tube flow. The advantages are: ① lubricants with refrigerant

 

into the compressor, generally there is no problem of oil accumulation ② filling less refrigerant, generally

 

only about 1/3 full liquid; ③ t0 near 0 ℃, the water will not freeze
