Description Of The KTY81 PTC Temperature Sensor

 

Generally, the thermistor part has nonlinear changes in resistance and temperature, and a linear compensation circuit needs to be designed. This product can maintain the linear change of resistance and temperature in the range of -40 degrees to 250 degrees, thereby simplifying the circuit. At present, the resistance temperature characteristic of the common PTC positive temperature thermistor is abrupt, and the linear region is very narrow. This product just complements this wide range of applications.

Commonly used glass-sealed linear thermistor KTY specifications: can replace NXP (PHILIPS) KTY81, KTY82, KTY83, KTY84, KTY85, and RTI's DS series

 

 

Application Of The KTY81 PTC Temperature Sensor

 

Widely used in temperature control, temperature measurement and temperature compensation in communications, automobiles, instruments, computers, home appliances and other industries. The resistance temperature characteristic of the common PTC positive temperature thermistor is abrupt, and the linear region is very narrow. It is usually used for overcurrent protection of circuits, not for temperature detection and temperature compensation circuits. This product just complements this field of application.

1. KTY linear thermistor glass package series products are axial lead glass package type
2. The host matrix material is semiconductor silicon single crystal, also known as Silicon PTC Thermistors
3. The resistance value increases linearly with the increase of temperature, also known as linear positive temperature coefficient thermistor or LPTC thermistor
4. Dissipation coefficient: 2.5~5mW/℃
5. Maximum operating current: Iopr=1.0mA
6. Stability: annual rate of change≤0.01℃/year
7. Temperature coefficient: α25/50≥0.7%/℃, namely α25/50≥7000PPM
8. Rated power: 50mW
9. Operating temperature range: -50~+150℃
