②The viscosity of the resin. This actually refers to the dryness of the resin under certain circumstances.

③Softening point. In the process of resin softening, the temperature at which it becomes a viscous liquid is defined as the softening point. The softening point increases as the molecular weight of the resin increases.

④ The color of the resin. In order to prevent the color of the resin from affecting the hue of the ink, the resin is required to be a colorless or very light-colored liquid.

⑤ Transparency of resin. The transparency of the resin is related to the solubility, and is also one of the indicators of the quality of the resin and the presence or absence of impurities.

⑧Releasability. Refers to the rate at which the solvent escapes from the resin. Of course, this is also related to the volatility of the solvent.

⑦ Acid value. Many types of resins are formed by condensation of resin acids, fatty acids, and aromatic acids. Therefore, some of the resin groups (one COOH) do not participate in the condensation reaction, and the number of fin groups in this part is most often based on acid value. To express, refers to the number of grams of potassium hydroxide consumed per gram of resin. Oil-based inks require a low acid value, about 20, and water-based inks require acid values ​​higher than 100.

⑧ Water resistance. The water resistance of the resin affects the water resistance of the ink. The oil with poor water resistance will emulsify, paste, and not ink during offset printing. Water-based ink requires good water dilution performance when used, but it cannot be dissolved in water after film formation. The water resistance of the resin is related to the number of hydrophilic genes and the molecular weight of the resin. Aqueous resin is the resin after these hydrophilic groups have formed salts.
