2. Classification
(1) Adduct type, the most commonly used is the adduct of TDI and
trimethylolpropane;
(2) Biuret polyisocyanate;
(3) Trimer type polyisocyanate, such as mixed trimer, HDI three Polymer, IPDI trimer. In addition, the dimer of IPDI is used as a curing agent for powder coatings.
3. Uses: wood paint, glass paint, plastic paint, metal paint, floor paint,
physical objects such as wood, automobiles, airplanes, machinery,
electrical appliances, instruments, plastics, leather, glass,
hardware, etc. Drying time: surface dry 15-20min , Polishing for
3-4h, hard work <24h
Features: easy to dry, wear resistant, high hardness, good
fullness, good flexibility, easy to sand, strong compatibility with
solvents, stable performance
4. Disadvantages: Part of the polyurethane curing agent contains toxic free TDI
substances. If it does not meet the standard, it is easy to cause
harm to the surrounding environment and people. Common symptoms
are: eye pain, tearing, conjunctival hyperemia, cough, chest
tightness, shortness of breath, asthma, red papules, maculopapular
rash , Contact allergy and other symptoms, long-term exposure may
cause cancer.
