It is designed with Flexible Bow Springs, heat-treated under controlled conditions for maximum strength and uniformity, are welded to slip-on collars and overlapping metal fins for flexibility and strength to support long columns of cement during primary cementing operations.

API Oilfield Drilling Canvas Cement Basket Features

The sizes are available for all kinds of hole sizes and standard casing.
Allows for casing rotation and reciprocation.
Better ability to adapt to the bore hole and can accommodate larger than nominal hole sizes.
Cementing Baskets may be run on casing, tubing or liners, and are designed to seal off zones below the basket from contamination by cement slurry.
