What is A182 F310 Flange?
ASTM A182 F310 flange combines excellent high temperature properties with good ductility and weldability and is designed for high temperature service. It is capable of continuous service at temperatures up to 1150°C in the absence of reducing sulfur gases and resists oxidation. It can also be used for intermittent service at temperatures up to 1040°C.
Stainless steel 310S flanges (UNS S31008) are used for service in a temperature range below what is commonly considered "high temperature" when the application environment involves wet corrosives. The low carbon content of 310S does reduce its high temperature strength when compared to 310.
Characteristic of 310 Flange
Alloy 310 flanges do not require preheating and postheating, but
for corrosive service in liquids, adequate post-weld solution
annealing treatment is required. It has good oxidation resistance
up to 1035°C in intermittent use in air and up to 1050°C in
continuous use. It is resistant to oxidation, sulfation and
carburization.
