What is G type fin tube?

 

 

 

G-type finned tube is one of the threaded finned tubes widely used nowadays, which improves the heat transfer performance of the thermal element, in addition to the defects of tubes and winding tubes. Its total heat transfer area is several to tens of times larger than that of light tube, which can enhance heat transfer and reduce resistance. The same heat transfer can greatly reduce the size of the facility and the consumption of metal materials, strengthening the economy and reliability of heat exchanger operation.

Threaded finned tube high-frequency welding is to heat the steel strip and pipe in a plastic state or molten state, using high-frequency current surface effect and proximity effect to complete the welding under pressure to make the weld solid. This method is far superior to inlay welding (or full hot dip galvanising) in terms of product quality (stack welding rate up to 95%), productivity and automation. The thermal strength of its metal materials can reach 1.10 ~ 1.20 W/kg-C, and has been widely used in electric power engineering, metallurgical industry, cement, construction engineering, petrochemical companies and other fields. The equipment has high comprehensive price ratio and good heat transfer performance, which is suitable for heat transfer field. It is also the obvious advantage of G-type finned tube. In the process of installing some components, finned tubes contribute to the durability of the facility and some equipment has no volatility in its application. Finned tubes improve the actual level of identification of the facility and have many practical advantages in protecting the natural environment.

 

 

Characteristic of  G type fin tube

 

1. The heat transfer characteristics of G-type finned tubes are related to the contact thermal resistance between the finned tubes, which is centred on the contact pressure between them. It is clear that welded chips and sleeves have better heat transfer characteristics, followed by bimetal tubes, and inserted and wound are poorer. After rewinding, the contact area of the KLM finned tubes increased by about 50 per cent and was not disturbed by the tube OD tolerances. After several cold cycles, the contact is good with low contact thermal resistance and high heat transfer characteristics. The open seam finned tube can increase the disturbance of airflow and increase the total heat transfer coefficient by about 20%.

2. As the wall temperature of the room temperature performance G-type finned tube increases, the contact pressure between the pins and the tube changes and the contact thermal resistance also changes. The fluctuation value depends on the type of finned tube and the initial contact pressure. As the temperature increases, the pin tension around the chip decreases rapidly, so the contact thermal resistance increases rapidly. Bimetallic rolling can be stabilised over a wide temperature range.

3.G-type finned tube atmospheric corrosion resistant bottom tube is protected by the wing against atmospheric corrosion. The ability of various types of finned tubes to resist atmospheric corrosion varies due to different protection ranges. Among the various types of finned tubes, bimetallic rolling is good. All the finned tubes treated with hot dip galvanising have good resistance to atmospheric corrosion. Chemical plants with corrosive gases in the atmosphere should pay special attention to the selection of raw materials and types of finned tubes, and aluminium needles corrode easily.
