PLA is polylactic acid, also known as polylactide. It is a new biodegradable material. It has good biodegradability. Compostable pouch made with PLA is good for frozen products like popsicles, frozen dumplings and so on. Because PLA material is good for low temperature storage, not easy to degrade. For normal condiftion, it can provide about 9 month shelf life, then after 9 months, the pouch will gradually start to degrade. High temperature and high moisture will excess the degradation. So please make sure to keep your compostable pouch in a cool dry place.
