HastelloyX/UNS NO6002 Chemical Composition

HastelloyX sheet and pipe heat treatment system: 1130 ~ 1170 ℃, fast air cooling or water cooling;
Bar and circular pieces of test samples: 15 ℃ 1175 ℃ +, air cooling or faster cooling;
Strip: 1065 ~ 1105 ℃, fast cooling.

Heat treatment
Recommend solid solution treatment temperature of 1149 ℃ ~ 1177 ℃.
(1149 ℃ ~ 1177 ℃ for SAE AMS5536 specified in the solid solution treatment temperature.)
In order to inhibit the formation of precipitates, quenching must be carried out after heat treatment.
Plastic workability
Recommend hot working temperature range is 982 ~ 1177 ℃.
Cold working is easy.
Compared with standard austenitic stainless steel, however, more force is required during machining.
Regardless of any process, in order to obtain good creep performance, after processing must be first solid solution treatment before use.
weldability
Good weldability, same as standard austenitic stainless steel, can be TIG welding, MIG welding and manual arc welding.
